  1. My Treasure

From the recording My Treasure

This song captures the instant joy and rapture that fills our emptiness when meeting the Lord.

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." (Matthew 13:44-46)

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." (2 Corinthians 4:7)

It also recounts the moment that the Lord appeared before Job, who had long suffered, as well as the joy that Job yearned to experience.

"Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind," (Job 38:1)

"I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee." (Job 42:5)

The phrase “As I had turned around” implies that amazing experiences often occur when we simply “turn” our hearts to Him, for then He will be just right there!

"Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away". (2Corinthians 3:16)

Lyrics

MY TREASURE

Forever in this universe
I would be so lonely,
If I could never meet
The One to care for me.

Although the skies are blue
The flowers blossoming,
I wonder where is eternity?

Appearing in the wind
As I had turned around,
You’re fresh and familiar
Covering me in your wings.

I’ve found where I belong
Forevermore.
I love You, Lord.
My Treasure!

Appearing in the wind
As I had turned around,
You’re fresh and familiar
Covering me in your wings.

I’ve found where I belong
Forevermore.
I love You, Lord.
My Treasure!
